Layered glass

Glass consisting of two layers of glass glued together by a very strong plastic film that prevents shattering if it breaks. In fact, layered glass, when broken does not yield, avoiding cut injuries and maintaining sufficient visibility.

Toughened glass

Glass consisting of a single layer treated with a toughening heat process that submits the glass surface to strong compression. When it breaks this type of glass shatters into small fragments with rounded edges.
