A - 3 LEVEL PRESSURE SWITCH OPERATION CHECK

1st level check (2.5 bar approx.)

• Disconnect the pressure switch from its pipes (see PROCEDURE OP. 5040B14)and check the open circuit between pins 3 and 4.
• Reconnect the pressure switch to its pipes: the contact between pins 3 and 4 closes.
• Reconnect the pressure switch electrical connection and start up the system, pressing the key on the air conditioner control panel.
• Wait a few minutes. At the same time make sure that the compressor switches on correctly.

2nd level check(15 bar approx.):

• Let the system operate with the car stationary. Wait a few minutes: the contact between pins 1 and 2 closes. At the same time make sure that the fan switches on at first speed.

3rd level check (28 bar approx.):

• It is advised not to allow the pressure in the circuit to rise to this value, too close to the safety limits. Therefore the setting of this level cannot be checked on the car. If, however, the system should reach this value, the contact between pins 1 and 2 would close.
