DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION

The circuit is controlled by the hazard lights switch, in switch control group H90.

The blinking device is located inside junction unit B1 (connector G). It is connected to earth on pin 31 of connector A and receives power to pin 49 through the H90 switch:

  • when the hazard lights are off, the ignition switch power supply is (INT) through the line of fuse F22 of junction unit B1.
  • when the hazard lights are on, the supply comes directly from the battery, through fuse F16 of junction unit B1 and maxifuse J/B1 of B5.

The blinking device generates an output signal(pin 49a) that supplies both the turn indicators switch, on stalk unit H5, and the hazard lights switch in H90. Activation of stalk unit lever H5 in one direction or the other will supply only the right indicators(F11, F21, F31) or the left ones (F10, F20, F30). At the same time the relevant warning light switches on, located in cluster E50, through pins 5 and 6 of connector C.

Pressing the switch in H90 three contacts close that simultaneously feed all the lights(right and left branches) and the LED inside the switch itself that illuminates it.

The entire switch control group H90) is in any case illuminated by ignition switch power supply (INT) from line(pin 5 of connector A ) protected by fuseF22 of B1.

The hazard lights are also activated by the alarm control unitM30 connected directly on the power supply of the lights (see E7015 - ALARM)

Connection for a trailer: replacing the blinking device with a double load one, this also generates an output signal - pin P - that supplies the warning light on the cluster - pin 4 of connector C - indicating the indicators of the trailer are on.
