DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
The windscreen wiper switch on stalk unit H5 is used to select the different operating modes of the windscreen wiper/washer.
Stalk unitH5 is supplied on pin 3 of connector D by the ignition switch power supply line (INT/A) of the cut-off relay (connector C) protected by fuseF12: both are located in junction unit B1.
According to the operation selected, stalk unit H5 (connector A) sends these signals to the electronic device in the windscreen wiper motor N15:
- from pins 2 and 4 for fast operation;
- from pin 3 for intermittent operation.
The windscreen wiper motor N15 is earthed.
The windscreen wiper group consists of a proper geared motor, limit switch contacts and the electronic regulation and control device.
The washer switch of stalk unit H5 once activated, sends a signal from pin 6 of connector A of H5 directly to the pump to activate windscreen washer N20.
