DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
The headlight position control device H15 is supplied to pin 3 - with dipped lights on - by a line coming from stalk unit H5. This is an ignition switch power supply(INT) through the line protected by fuse F20 of junction unit B1.
Pin 1 of H15 is earthed, whereas pin 4 sends the adjustment signal to headlight beam position motors N30 (left) and N31 (right), obtained through a resistive separator that varies the output voltage according to which of the four positions has been selected. Motors N30 and N31 contain a transducer that establishes, according to the voltage of the adjustment signal received, at pin 2, of device H15, the actual motor stroke, whereas pins 1 are to earth.
Motors N30 and N31 are supplied,on pins 3, by the same lines of the dipped headlights circuit that supply the relevant headlights: line protected by fuse F6 for the right headlamp and F7 for the left headlamp (see E2011 - DIPPED LIGHTS);therefore the device only operates with the dipped lights on.
