Removal and Installation

Special Tool(s)

Remover/Installer, cooling hose clamp

Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to the procedure in this section.

  1. Disconnect the coolant hose.

  1. Remove the thermostat housing.

  1. Remove the thermostat.

Installation
  1. Install a new O-ring seal.

  1. Install the thermostat and thermostat housing.
  1. Install the remaining components in the reverse order.
  1. Refill the cooling system. Refer to the procedure in this section.
