Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.

  1. Disconnect and detach the liftgate latch electrical connector.
Wagon
  1. Detach the liftgate latch cable from the retaining clips.

  1. Disconnect the liftgate latch cable from the liftgate lock assembly.
All vehicles
  1. Remove the latch.
3-door, 4-door and 5-door
  1. If a new liftgate latch is being installed.

Installation
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
