Installation

Installation
  1. Install the selector lever assembly.
    1. Reconnect the selector lever electrical connector.
    1. Position the selector lever.
    1. Install the cover.
  1. Install the cigar lighter trim, if equipped. Install the cigar lighter element and the front ash receptacle.
  1. Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Install the selector lever assembly.
    1. Install the retaining nuts.
      NOTE:
      NOTE:Do not lock the selector cable adjusting cap.
    1. Attach the selector cable to the selector lever.
  1. Adjust the cable.

  1. Adjust the selector lever.
    For additional information, refer to Selector Lever Cable Adjustment in this section.
  1. Install the heat shield.
  1. Lower the vehicle.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy.
    Connect the battery ground cable.
