d. Pressure plate (31).
8. Next, remove the components from the drive shaft sub-assembly which consists of:
a. Pump rotor (28).
b. Thrust plate (25).
c. Drive shaft (7).
d. Shaft retaining ring (30). Pump ring (26) and vanes (27).
9. Remove these components in the following order.
1. The O-ring (32) from the pump housing (10).
2. The dowl pins.
3. Drive shaft seal (11).
4. The end cover (36), pressure plate spring (33) and O-ring (35) from the pressure plate (31).
5. The pump ring (26) and vanes (27) from drive shaft sub-assembly.
6. The shaft retaining ring (30) from the drive shaft (7).
7. The pump rotor (28) and thrust plate (25) from drive shaft (7).
10. Clean all the parts in power steering fluid, dry the parts, then inspect the following components, the Pressure plate (31), Pump ring (26), Rotor
(28),Vanes (27), Thrust plate (25) and the Drive shaft (7) for pitting or chatter marks. If noted, replace appropriate parts.
