TOOTHED DRIVE PULLEY - R.R. with timing belt removed

2.4 JTD 20V

Removing

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the flywheel guard (1b).

2. Fit the flywheel lock.

1. Undo the fixing bolt with the left hand thread (1a) and remove the spacer and the toothed drive pulley (1b).

Refitting

1. Fit the toothed drive pulley complete with spacer and fasten it by tightening the bolt to torque.

2. Tighten the bolt securing the pulley to the crankshaft to torque.

- Remove the flywheel lock.

- Position the flywheel guard and tighten the fixing bolts.

2.4 JTD 10V

Removing

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the flywheel guard (1b).

2. Fit the flywheel lock.

1. Undo the fixing bolt with the left hand thread (1a) and remove the spacer and the tooghted drive pulley (1b).

Refitting

- Fit the toothed drive pulley complete with spacer and fasten it tightening the bolt to torque.

- Tighten the bolt fixing the pulley to the crankshaft to torque.

- Remove the flywheel lock.

- Position the flywheel guard and tighten the fixing bolts.

2.0 TB, 2.4 20V

Removing

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the lower flywheel guard (1b).

2. Fit the flywheel lock.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) (left hand thread) and remove the toothed timing drive pulley (1b).

Refitting

- Position the toothed timing drive pulley in its housing and secure it tightening the bolt to the recommended torque.

- Remove the flywheel lock.

- Reposition the guard on the bellhousing and secure it using the bolts.
