FAULT COMPLAINED OF

Noise when opening/closing door.

TECHNICAL CAUSE

Movement of check strap bracket due to deterioration of fixing bolts tightening torque.

OPERATIONS IN PRODUCTION

Adoption of new check strap bracket fixing bolts.

Network behaviour standards towards the Customer

• When this problem is reported and confirmed, reassure the Customer that it can be solved by replacing the bolts fixing the door check straps with new improved ones.
• After the operation, show the Customer the work that has been done and make sure that they are satisfied.

Service Solution:If this problem is reported and confirmed, replacing the door check strap fixing bolts with the new improved ones.

OPERATING CYCLE

Working on the front and rear door check straps, carry out the following operations:

• Release the weatherstrop (1-Fig.1) for the check strap (2) and let it slide along the rod;
• Undo the check strap fixing bolts (3) and replace them with the new ones no. 51716377, tightening them to a torque of 1.1 daNm;
• Fit the check strap weatherstrip (1);
• Repeat the operating cycle for the remaining three door check straps.
