(*) Or every 3 years if the vehicle is used in one of the following particularly harsh conditions: prolonged use in hot/cold climates;

  • prolonged use in cold/hot climates
  • town driving with a lot of idling;
  • use on particularly dusty roads or roads covered in sand and/or salt.

- Or every 5 years irrespective of the mileage and the vehicle usage conditions.

ANNUAL INSPECTION PLAN

For vehicles with annual mileage below 20,000 km (e.g. about 10,000 km) there is an annual inspection plan which includes the following:

  • Check condition / wear of tyres and, if necessary, adjust inflation pressure (including spare wheel).
  • Check wear of windscreen wiper blades.
  • Check condition and wear of rear brake pads
  • Visual check on condition of: underbody and rust on moving parts of bodyshell and mechanical components, pipes (exhaust - fuel system - brakes), rubber components (boots - hoses - bushes - etc.), braking and fuel system flexible pipes
  • Check main and secondary battery charge
  • Visual check on condition of auxiliary drive belts
  • Check and, if necessary, top up fluid levels (engine coolant, braking system, windscreen washer, battery, etc.).
  • Change engine oil
  • Change engine oil filter
  • Change pollen filter

ADDITIONAL OPERATIONS

Notify the Customer that to ensure the smooth running of the vehicle, in addition to sticking to the intervals indicated in the Planned Maintenance Programme and the Annual Inspection Plan, they should also follow the recommendations given below as well as the instructions in the Owner's Handbook.

Every 1000 kmor before long journies, check and, if necessary, top up:

  • engine coolant level
  • hydraulically operated clutch/brake fluid level
  • power assisted steering fluid level
  • windscreen and headlamp washer fluid level
  • tyre inflation pressure and condition

Every 3000 kmcheck and, if necessary, top up:

  • engine oil level.

WARNING - Engine oil

If the vehicle is mainly used in one of the following particulary harsh conditions:

  • towing a trailer or caravan
  • dusty roads
  • short (less than 7-8 km), repeated journies at sub-zero outside temperatures
  • engine often idling or vehicle driven for long distances at low speed (e.g. taxi service or door to door deliveries or long periods of inactivity)

Change the engine oil more often than indicated in the Planned Maintenance Programme

WARNING - Air filter

If the vehicle is used on dusty roads, replace the air filter more often than indicated in the Planned Maintenance Programme.

WARNING - Diesel filter

The variation in the degree of purity of diesel fuel on the market may mean that the diesel filter should be replaced more often than indicated in the Planned Maintenance Programme.

If the engine is not running smoothly, this means that it should be replaced.

WARNING - Pollen filter

If the vehicle is used frequently in a dusty or very polluted area, the filter element should be replaced more often; in particular, it should be replaced if a decrease in the flow rate of the air entering the passenger compartment is noticed.

WARNING - Battery

It is advisable to check the battery charge, preferably at the start of the cold season, to prevent the electrolyte from freezing.

This check should be carried out more frequently if the vehicle is mainly used for short journeys or if it is equipped with consumers which permanently absorb power when the ignition is switched off, especially if they have been fitted in the after market.

If the vehicle is used in hot climates or particulary harsh conditions, the battery fluid (electrolyte) level should be checked more frequently than stated in the Planned Maintenance Programme in this chapter.
