ADDITIONAL HEATER OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Operational Description
The Webasto additional control unit M075 is supplied at pin 1 of connector B by a line from the battery (+30) protected by fuse F62 of boot compartment junction unit B045.
The Body Computer M001 receives the engine coolant temperature and engine rpm signals via the C-CAN (pins 32 and 33 of connector B)
See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
The info-telematic control unit M065, supplied by the line protected by fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002, transmits the settings (timer) and the commands, via the B-CAN (pins A1 and A3 of connector B) and via the serial line (pin 10 of connector E) to the climate control system control unit M070, at pins 5 and 16 of connector B and pin 4 of connector A, respectively.
On receiving positive signals from the climate control system control unit M070, the Webasto control unit M075 activates the engagement in:
- Parking Heater mode, at pin 1, of connector A;
- Additional Heater mode, at pin 3, of connector A;
- Rest mode, at both pins.
During operation, the climate control system control unit requests (pin 6 of connector B) a status signal at the control unit M075 (pin 4 of connector B) to signal any malfunctions.
From pin 6 of connector A, the additional heater control unit M075 activates the additional heater pump N044 which is connected to earth through the inertia switch I050 (like the luggage compartment control unit M063).
The Webasto aerial P135 is connected to the info-telematic control unit M065 at pin 13 of connector E; it receives a supply at pin 1 from the Body Computer control unit M001 from pin 26 connector D and an earth signal at pin 6.
