DRIVE SHAFT OUTER GAITER

Service repair no - 47.10.03

Remove

  1. Remove drive shaft outer joint. See this section.
Drive shaft outer gaiter – Remove drive shaft outer joint. See this section.
  1. Slide gaiter from shaft.
  2. Inspect gaiter for signs of damage and renew if necessary.

Refit

  1. Fit gaiter to shaft.
  2. Fit drive shaft outer joint. See this section.

DRIVE SHAFT OUTER JOINT

Service repair no - 47.10.04

Remove

  1. Remove drive shaft. See this section.
  2. Place drive shaft in a vice.
Drive shaft outer joint – Place drive shaft in a vice.
  1. Release both gaiter clips and discard.
  2. Slide gaiter along shaft to gain access to outer joint.
Drive shaft outer joint – Slide gaiter along shaft to gain access to outer joint.
  1. Bend the joint, and using a suitable drift against the inner part of the joint, remove from shaft.
