• With the vehicle on a lift, loosen the front drive shaft nuts.

II

• Disconnect the battery.
• Remove :
  • the spare wheel,
  • the air filter assembly,
  • the exhauster (1),
  • the upper gearbox securing bolts. One of these bolts (2) also retains the exhauster tie rod.

III

• Disconnect :
  • the earth cable (3),
  • the reversing light switch (4),
  • the gear shift control (5).

IV

• Loosen the 4 bolts (6) from the left hand mounting (7) and remove 3.

V

• Support the vehicle on stands.
• Remove :
  • the bolts securing the tie rod flange (8) and the left hand suspension arm flange (9),
  • the left hand drive shaft (10) using 2 levers,
  • the gearbox rear mounting flange (11).
• Disconnect the clutch cable (12).

VI

• Remove :
  • the 4 bolts from the right hand suspension arm ball joint (13),
  • the alternator drive belt protector (14).
