Engine Immobilisation Override

If the handset fails to operate or is lost, mobilisation can be achieved by using the door key to enter the four digit key access code (shown on the security card). With the driver’s door locked, enter the code as follows:

  1. Insert the key into the driver’s door lock, turn to the ’LOCK’ position and hold

for 5 seconds before releasing.

  1. Turn the key to the ’UNLOCK’ position for the number of times equal to the

first digit of the code.

  1. Turn the key to the ’LOCK’ position for the number of times equal to the

second digit of the code.

  1. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the third and fourth digits.
  2. Turn the key to the ’UNLOCK’ position to unlock the door.

If the code has been entered successfully, the anti-theft LED will stop flashing and the engine can be started. If the operation is unsuccessful, a warning beep will sound when the key is finally turned to the unlock position.

If an error is made during the process of entering the code, the act of opening and closing the door will cancel the operation and the code sequence can be re-entered. The system permits three attempts at entering the code after which a 10 minute lock-out period is initiated.

Once the engine immobiliser is de-activated, it will remain inactive until the handset is used again to lock the car doors.
