Headlamp Levelling

The level of the headlamps are controlled by two motors and the headlamp levelling switch. With the ignition switch ON, voltage is applied to both headlamp levelling motors and the headlamp levelling switch via the Y/G wires from fuse 5. Earth is provided by the B wires. The headlamp levelling switch sends a voltage signal to the motors via the U wires. The motors then move the headlamps to the selected level.

Lights-On Alarm

A sounder in the multi-function unit (MFU), is activated when the sidelamps or headlamps are switched on, the ignition is switched off, and the driver’s door is open. The sounder is used to inform the driver that the sidelamps or headlamps have been left on.

When the sidelamps or headlamps have been switched on, voltage is fed to the MFU from fuse 20 in the engine compartment fuse box, via a R/G wire the lighting switch, a R/B wire, and the passenger compartment fuse box. The MFU receives an ignition fed from fuse 8 and earth is provided by a B wire. When the driver’s door switch is closed (door open) an earth is fed to the MFU ·lights-on alarm·circuit on a G/R wire.

Brake Lamps

Voltage is applied at all times to the brake lamp switch via a W/Y wire from fuse 41 of the engine compartment fuse box. When the brake pedal is depressed the brake lamp switch closes and voltage is applied to the high mounted stop lamp, both brake lamps, and the trailer connector via the G/W wires. The earth paths for the lamps is on B wires
