Clutch housing: repairing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Die -VW 407-

t	Mandrel -T10168-

t	pressure tool -T40008-

t	Inside extractor -1 - Kukko 21/2-

t	Inside extractor -1 - Kukko 21/4-

t	Counter-support -4 - Kukko 22/2-

t	Drift sleeve -30-21-

t	Pressing-off lever -VW 681-

Pulling out selector rod bearing bush A -  Counter-support, e.g. -Kukko 22/1- B -  Internal puller 14.5...18.5 mm, e.g. -Kukko 21/2-

Driving in bearing bush for selector rod (drive in until tool contacts stop)

Pulling needle bearing out of clutch housing A -  Counter-support, e.g. -Kukko 22/2- B -  Internal puller, 23.5…30 mm, e.g. -Kukko 21/4-   Note The needle bearing is destroyed during removal and must be renewed.

Pressing needle bearing -A- into clutch housing –  Before pressing in, place reverse shaft thrust washer -B- onto needle bearing.

Pressing reverse gear selector fork shaft into clutch housing
