change oil and replace filter.
When the oil filter has to be changed → Anchor
If DSG oil must be added, use only oil listed in → Electronic parts catalogue „ETKA“.
Brief description
First read the oil temperature. If it is above 50 °C, let the gearbox cool off.
With engine stopped, unscrew and remove overflow pipe and let the oil drain out. Then reinstall overflow pipe and »overfill« gearbox with oil.
Then start engine and drain excess oil until oil level attains level of overflow pipe.
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.

DSG oil is available as a spare part → Spare parts catalogue.
Conditions
l  Engine off
l  Vehicle on a level, all lifting platform housings at the same height.
l  Soundproofing sump removed, where applicable.
l  Selector lever must be in position „P“.
l  Diagnosis tester -VAS 505X- connected
l  The oil temperature must not be higher than 45 ℃ at the beginning of the work.
Operation process
–  Comply with rules for cleanliness when working on gearbox.
–  Only gear oil available as spare part is allowed to be used for dual clutch gearbox. Other types of lubricant cause malfunctions and/or failure of the gearbox.
  WARNING
Hot gearbox oil can cause burns.
–  Connect vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051B- and identify the vehicle in Guided functions.
–  Select dual clutch gearbox.
–  Select Check fluid level.
  Note
If oil temperature is above 45 °C, let the gearbox cool off.
  WARNING
Do not start engine if there is no oil in gearbox.
–  Engine off - Do not start engine!
  W00-10811
–  Remove oil drain plug close to pendulum support -arrow-.
A black plastic »overflow tube« (with 8 mm hexagon socket head bolt) is located in this hole. Its length determines the oil level in the gearbox.
  N34-10216
–  Remove oil level pipe -arrow- and allow oil to run out.
Approximately 5 litres of oil will run out.
–  Screw oil level pipe back in to stop and tighten to 3 Nm.
  N01-10871
–  Before screwing adapter for oil filling -VAS 6262 A- onto oil bottle, measure length of breather pipe, dimension -a- and shorten → Anchor.
Dimension -a- = 210 mm
  Note
The dimension -a- is measured from the shaft (green area in the counting glass) of the adapter for oil filling -VAS 6262 A-.
  N34-11768
–  Screw the adapter for filling -VAS 6262 A- hand tight into the inspection hole.
Shake the oil cans before opening.
  A34-10682
–  Pour in 5.5 litres of DSG oil.
When changing bottles the valve could be closed, or the oil tester automatic gearbox -VAS 6262 A- could be held higher than the gearbox.
  N00-10139
–  Tighten oil drain plug -A- only until finger tight.
–  Start engine.
–  Depress brake pedal, select each selector lever position for about 3 seconds and then move lever back to »P«.
–  Do not switch off engine.
–  Then check the oil level and top-up if necessary → Chapter.
