Selector lever display illumination bulb -L101 -: Removing and installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Lever -U 30800-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removal:
–  Shift selector lever to position „N“.
–  Switch off ignition and remove key.

–  Hang out the support frame of the selector lever sleeve -arrows- from the central console using the lever -U-30800- and raise the sleeve.
  Note
Different selector levers are fitted depending on the series-production.
–  Turn up selector lever boot.

–  Remove the cover frame of the selector lever from the central console using the lever -U-30800 - and clip out the cover frame upwards -arrows-.
–  Removing the selector lever covering.
–  Separate connector -1-.

–  Release retaining springs -arrows-.
–  Remove cover with lamp for gearshift lever scale illumination -L101- from cover for gearshift lever -1-
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
