Detecting leaks in refrigerant circuit > < Clearing refrigerant circuit of contaminants
Leaks or internal damage (e.g. noises or lack of power)

–  Evacuate refrigerant circuit.
–  Remove air conditioner compressor.
  Note!
In the event of internal damage to air conditioner compressor, check refrigerant hoses. Renew any hoses in which, e.g., shavings are found.
–  Clean (purge) the refrigerant circuit with compressed air and nitrogen → Chapter.
–  Renew receiver or dryer cartridge, reservoir and restrictor.
–  Examine the expansion valve for dirt or corrosion; renew if necessary.
–  Assemble refrigerant circuit, evacuate and charge.
