Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Refractometer -T10007A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tightening torque -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Pliers -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Collecting tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter
–  Remove Poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Remove timing belt → Chapter.

–  Unscrew securing bolts -1- of the coolant pump and take coolant pump -2- off.
–  Remove O-ring -3-.
Installing
Fit in reverse order from removal, remembering the following:

Replace the O-ring.
–  Clean or smoothen the contact surface for O-ring.

–  Lubricate new O-ring -3- with coolant additive “G12+”.
–  Fit the cooling liquid pump -2- to the engine block and tighten the attachment bolts -1- to a torque of 15 Nm.
  Note
The seal plug for the coolant pump points downwards.
–  Fitting notched belt → Chapter.
–  Installing Poly-V belt → Chapter.
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
