Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Assembly tool -T10006A-
  Note
t  Before disconnecting the battery, consult the customer regarding the anti-theft code provided with the radio.
t  If the battery is reconnected check the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric comfort system, etc.), following the indications in the Workshop Manual and/or the Operating Instructions.
  WARNING
Before working on the electrical system, disconnect the battery earth strap.
Separate brake pedal from brake servo.
  WARNING
The stop on the brake pedal must always be installed. Otherwise, there is a risk that mounting for brake light sensor can break off when brake pedal is released.
–  Disconnect battery.
–  Remove driver side centre arm rest → body assembly work internal; Rep. gr. 68.
–  Separate the connector for the vehicle diagnosis, measuring and information system -VAS 505X-.
–  Remove the brake light switch → Chapter .

–  First press brake pedal towards brake servo and hold in this position.

3  - Retaining lugs
–  Insert release tool -T10006A- as shown and pull towards driver's seat, at the same time holding brake pedal in position (the pedal must not move towards the rear). This will press the retaining lugs -3- of the mounting off the ball head of the push rod -2-.
For better representation, the diagram shows the separation of the brake pedal from the servo brake in the removed pedal cluster.
–  Pull release tool -T10006A- and brake pedal together towards driver's seat. (The brake pedal will separate from the ball joint of the control rod).

Grease all contact surfaces of the brake pedal using lubricating grease → Spare parts catalogue..

–  Fit the push rod head -2- in front of the housing and press brake pedal -1- in the direction of the brake servo until the head is heard to engage.
Continue the fitting, following the reverse order of the removal process.
–  Install driver side centre arm rest → body assembly work internal; Rep. gr. 68 .
–  Connect the connector for the vehicle diagnosis and service information system -VAS 505X-.
–  Connect battery.
