Clutch release lever: repair

Assembly chart

t	For doing any kind of work on the clutch release lever, it is necessary to take the gearbox out of the vehicle → Chapter.

t	Lubricate all bearings and contact surfaces with -G 000 603- lubricating grease.

1 -	Clutch release lever

q	Check the smoothness of movement.

q	Assembly position → Fig.

2 -	Guard ring

q

Replace.

q	Lever it out carefully with a screwdriver.

q	Assembly → Fig.

3 -	Bearing sleeve

q	Dismounting → Fig.

q	Assembly → Fig.

4 -	Clutch casing

q	Repair → Chapter

5 -	Bearing sleeve

q	Dismounting → Fig.

q	Assembly → Fig.

6 -	Safety pins

q	Remove them by levering carefully with a screwdriver before dismounting the clutch release pin.

7 -	Clutch release fork

q	Assembly position → Fig.

8 -	Clutch release bearing

q	This should never be washed. Just clean it with a cloth.

q	Replace if it makes noises when working.

9 -	Fastening clamp

q	Attach to the clutch release bearing.

10 -	Fastening spring

q	Place over the fastening clamp and then in the clutch release bearing.

11 -	Screw, 18 Nm

q	Self-locking.

q	Always replace.

q	For removing and putting into place, use an appropriate diameter -U-40020- socket spanner.

12 -	Guide sleeve

q	Lubricate the sleeve for the clutch release bearing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Repair kit case -U-40200-

t	Bearing sleeve thruster for the clutch release lever -U-40088-

t	Taps for Ø 11 and Ø with percussor -U-40087-

t	Thruster for the clutch release lever retainer -U-40089-

t	Notched socket set XZN -U-40020-

Dismounting the bearing sleeve –  Take out the upper bearing sleeve from the clutch casing using tools -U-40200/10- and -U-40088-.

Dismounting the bearing sleeve –  Place the threaded tap of tool -U-40087- on the sleeve and screw it right down. –  Activate the percussor until the sleeve comes off.

Assembling the bearing sleeve –  Assemble the lower bearing sleeve of the clutch casing with tools -U-40200/10- and -U-40088-. –  Tighten it.

Assembling the bearing sleeve –  Assemble the lower bearing sleeve of the clutch casing with tools -U-40200/10- and -U-40088-. –  Tighten right down.

Assembling the retainer of the clutch release lever –  Grease the new retainer well with -G 000 603- grease. –  Insert the retainer in the clutch casing with tool -U-40089-. –  Tighten right down.

Assembling the clutch release lever and the clutch release fork –  Fit the clutch release lever with the clutch release fork so that the reinforced cog -arrows- of the lever axle coincides with its housing in the fork -arrows-.
