Brake pipe repairs
Using the pipe seam tool -VAS 6056- the brake pipes with an exterior diameter of 5 mm may be re-edged without damaging the covering. Thus, in certain cases, sections of pipe may be replaced more economically.
The edge cutting equipment -VAG 1356- cannot be used due to the coating and diameter of the black brake pipes.
  Note
t  The brake pipes can only be bent up to a maximum of 90°; otherwise they may break due to the bending, or the cross-section may be deformed from being over stretched.
t  It is preferable to disconnect the brake pipes on the side of the vehicle floor.
t  Choose the position of the intermediate elements so that they do not rub on mobile elements.
t  Do not lubricate the edge cutting spindle, use alcohol to clean it.
