Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Hose clamps up to 25 mm -MP7-602 (3094)-
t  Pliers for spring strap clamps
t  Catch pan for workshop crane e.g. -VAS 6208-
Removing
–  Remove noise insulation → Body Work → Rep. Gr.50.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove engine cover with air filter → Chapter.
   
–  Separate the rubber bellows -1- from the air guide -2-.
–  Release both catches and remove the air guide -2-.

–  Unscrew the hot air collector -arrows-.

–  Pinch off the coolant hoses at the oil cooler with hose clamps up to 25 mm -MP7-602-.
–  Unscrew the fixing bolts -arrows- for coolant pipes at the cylinder block and at the oil cooler.
–  Remove the AC generator → Electrical System → Rep. Gr.27.
–  Position catch pan underneath.
–  Pull out the coolant pipes towards the front out of the oil cooler.

–  Unscrew screws -1- and pull off the oil cooler -2- from the cylinder block.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
  Note
Replace O-ring.
–  Top up or change coolant if the oil cooler was replaced → Chapter.
Install the AC generator → Electrical System → Rep. Gr.27
