Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Wrench for the water pump and power-assisted steering -MP1-308-
t  Hose clamps -MP7-602 (3094)-
t  Locating bolts -T10060A-
Removing:
–  Remove engine cover → Engine; Rep. Gr.10
–  Put lock carrier with attached parts in the servicing position → Body work; Rep. Gr.50
–  Remove the V-ribbed belt → Engine; Rep. Gr.13
   
–  Remove the belt pulley of the vane pump.
–  Remove the reservoir cover for the power-assisted steering.

–  Disconnect the suction line and the return flow line from hose clamps -MP7-602 (3094)-.
–  Remove the sound dampening system → Body Work; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Place the oil catching pan under the vehicle.

–  Remove the hose clamp -MP7-602 (3094) --1- from the suction line.
–  Remove the suction line, press the shackle and lay to one side.
–  Remove pressure line -2-.

–  Release screws -1- and Allan screw -2-.
–  Remove the pump.
Installing:
–  Fill the vane pump with hydraulic oil. Fill up oil at the induction pipe of the pump.
–  Turn the hub until oil drains out from the delivery side of the pump.
–  Insert the vane pump in the holder.

–  Tighten screws -1- and -2-.
–  Place new gasket rings on the hollow screw.

–  Tighten the hollow screw for the pressure line -2-.
–  Installing the suction line.

–  Screw on the pulley of the vane pump.
–  Installing the V-ribbed belt → Engine; Rep. Gr.13
–  Install engine cover → engine; Rep. Gr.10
–  Install the lock carrier with component parts → Body Work; Rep. Gr.50
–  Install the sound dampening system → Body work; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Fiiling with hydraulic oil → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
–  Checking hydraulic oil level → Chapter
–  Checking the steering system for tightness → Chapter
–  Bleeding air from the steering gear → Chapter
–  Install the reservoir cover for the power-assisted steering.

Tightening torques:
Vane pump to compact holder20 Nm
Hollow screw for the pressure line50 Nm
V-belt pulley to the vane pump
t  Use new screws!
25 Nm
Wheel bolts120 Nm
