Disassembling and assembling oil filter holder
   
Disassembling and assembling oil filter holder
1 - Screw plug, 40 Nm
2 - Gasket ring
q   Cut open gasket ring if leaking and replace
3 - Spring
q   for pressure relief valve approx. 0.4 MPa (4 bar)
4 - Piston
q   for pressure relief valve approx. 0.4 MPa (4 bar)
5 - Gasket
q   replace
6 - Gasket ring
q   push on as far as collar on the tube → Item
7 - Pipe
8 - Retaining clip
9 - Screw plug, 15 Nm
10 - Gasket ring
q   Cut open gasket ring if leaking and replace
11 - 20 Nm
12 - Coolant pipe below
13 - Oil feed line
q   to exhaust turbocharger
14 - Hollow screw, 30 Nm
15 - Gasket
q   replace
16 - Oil pressure switch 0.14 MPa (1.4 bar) -F1-, 25 Nm
q   check → Chapter
17 - Gasket ring
q   Cut open gasket ring if leaking and replace
18 - 15 Nm + torque a further + 90 ° (1/4 turn)
q   replace
19 - Gasket
q   replace
q   fit into the grooves on the oil cooler
20 - Oil filter
q   slacken with tensioning strap
q   tighten by hand
q   pay attention to installation instructions on oil filter
21 - 25 Nm
22 - Oil cooler
q   ensure clearance to surrounding components
q   pay attention to the notes → Chapter
q   Coat the contact surfaces to the oil filter holder outside the gasket ring with AMV 188 100 02
23 - Oil filter holder
q   with pressure relief valve approx. 0.4 MPa (4 bar)
q   with interference-fit return-flow check valve
q   for vehicles ► 06.02:
   The following parts must be replaced if leaks are found in the area of the connection of the oil feed line ( → Item) to the oil filter holder. the complete holder, oil feed line, hollow screw and gasket rings
