Determine adjusting washer “S5” again for positioning the 4th gear pinion This adjustment is necessary when replacing the drive chain. The positioning of the 4th gear pinion (on the secondary shaft) is determined by this adjusting washer -arrow-.

The nominal dimension “A1”-arrow-, which is necessary for this adjusting washer “S5”, is recorded on the crown wheel of the drive chain. In the example the dimension “A1” = 98.86 mm. Determine the required adjusting washer according to the table. The following adjusting washers are available:
