Adjustment Operations on Model 53-B General
General (continued) The folding hood and the bordering components have been optimally co-ordinated with one another in production. Stiffness of the folding hood is normal in new vehicles. In this case, allow vehicle to stand at room temperature with the folding hood closed and secured for 1 to 2 days. To eliminate wind noise and water ingress, it may be sufficient to clean sealing surfaces and treat weatherstrips with silicon oil. Extensive adjustment should only be performed after parts have been replaced. Adjustment of individual parts is described in the following section. If it is necessary to adjust several parts at the same time - e.g. after to accident - proceed in the following sequence: A pillar weatherstrip, front door fixed window, door sash window, rear quarter panel sash window, folding hood. The adjustment operations described do not include installation work, which should be taken from the corresponding operations.
