Replace coolant hose
 Remove

Remove air cleaner housing
|
Warning: Only open the coolant
compensation tank when the engine has cooled down.
|

Unscrew and remove cover of coolant expansion tank
|
| 5. |
Raise vehicle by its full height
|
| 6. |
Detach the lower engine cover and right engine splash guard
|
| 7. |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
| 8. |
Drain coolant
| • |
Open drain bolt on radiator (1)
|
|
|
|
| 9. |
Detach vacuum line (2) from oil dipstick guide tube (1)
|
| 10. |
Detach oil dipstick guide tube from oil pan
|
|
|
| 11. |
Disconnect air intake pipe (1) from turbocharger
|
|
|
| 12. |
Lower vehicle by its full height
|
| 13. |
Detach vacuum line
| • |
Unscrew 2x bolts (arrows)
|
| • |
Detach 2x vacuum hose, vacuum unit to vacuum line
Note: Mark the
assignment of the hoses
|
|
|
|

Detach turbocharger charge air hose from intercooler (1)
|
|
|
| 15. |
Detach engine vent hose from camshaft housing cover
|
|
|
| 16. |
Remove air intake manifold (1)
|
| 17. |
Remove dipstick guide tube
| • |
Disconnect boost pressure sensor vacuum line
|
|
|
|
| 18. |
Remove coolant pipe assembly (1)
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug of catalytic converter
temperature sensor (2)
|
| • |
Detach 4x hose from coolant pipe assembly
|
|
|
|
Install
| 19. |
Raise vehicle by its full height
|
| 20. |
Renew oil dipstick guide tube gasket in oil pan
|
| 21. |
Lower vehicle by its full height
|
| 22. |
Install coolant pipe assembly
| • |
Connect catalytic converter temperature sensor wiring harness
plug
|
| • |
Attach 4x hose to coolant pipe assembly
|
|
| 23. |
Fit turbocharger charge air pipe to intercooler
| • |
Tighten 2x clamp 3.5 Nm
|
|
| 24. |
Install dipstick guide tube
|
| 25. |
Install air intake pipe.
|
| 26. |
Raise vehicle by its full height
|
| 27. |
Attach air intake pipe to turbocharger
Important: Follow specified
installation order
|
| • |
Put seal on turbocharger port
|
| • |
Fit air intake manifold pipe
|
|
| 28. |
Attach oil dipstick guide tube to oil pan
|
| 29. |
Clip 2x vacuum lines to oil dipstick guide tube
|
| 30. |
Install lower engine cover and right engine splash guard
|
| 31. |
Lower vehicle by its full height
|
| 32. |
Attach vacuum line
| • |
Connect 2x vacuum hose, vacuum unit to vacuum line
Note: Note the
assignment of the hoses

Attach engine vent hose to camshaft housing cover
|
| 34. |
Install air cleaner housing 
|
| 35. |
Fill and bleed cooling system
|
| 36. |
Connect battery
| • |
Attach ground connection to ground terminal
|
|
| 38. |
Program volatile memories
|
|
