Replace fuel pressure regulator > < Adjustment data for Astra-H Z 17 DTR (1.7 CDTI ECOTEC) 92 kW

Fuel Pressure, Check

Warning:   Exiting fuel - observe safety regulations and national legislation

  Install

1.   Remove air intake manifold
•   Unscrew bolt (2)
2.   Remove engine vent hose from cylinder head cover
•   Release clamp (4)
3.   Detach air intake pipe from air intake hose
•   Release clamp (1)
Release clamp
4.   Detach air intake pipe from turbocharger
•   Release clamp (3)
Note:   Seal air intake pipe at turbocharger
5.   Remove air intake pipe

6.   Connect pressure tester KM-J-34730-91 (2) to test connection (1)
7.   Start engine and vent pressure tester
•   Engine runs at idle speed
8.   Collect exiting fuel in a suitable container

9.   Check fuel pressure. Start engine and allow to run at idle speed. Nominal value – see relevant checking procedures. Apply 0.5 bar to fuel pressure regulator using pressure and vacuum pump MKM-667 . Nominal value – see relevant checking procedures.

  Install

10.   Detach pressure gauge KM-J-34730-91 from test connection
11.   Remove seal from turbocharger air intake pipe
12.   Attach engine vent hose to cylinder head cover
•   Fasten clamp
13.   Attach air intake pipe to turbocharger
•   Fasten clamp
14.   Attach air intake pipe to air intake hose
•   Fasten clamp
15.   Screw in bolt
