Electro-Hydraulic Supply Unit, Replace (RHD, TRW
and ZF)
 Remove
| 1. |
Remove front axle body
|
| 2. |
Remove return (1) and supply line (2) from electro-hydraulic
supply unit
Note: Oil runs out, use
catchment tray.

|
| 3. |
For vehicles with EHPS by ZF: separate wiring harness from
electro-hydraulic supply unit
| • |
Unlatch and disconnect wiring harness plug (3)
|
| • |
Release primary lock (1) from wiring harness plug
|
| • |
Compress secondary lock and separate wiring harness plug
(2)
|
|
|
|
| 4. |
Detach electro-hydraulic supply unit with bracket from front
axle body
| • |
Remove bracket for electro-hydraulic supply unit from front
axle body
|
| • |
Remove bracket for electro-hydraulic supply unit from steering
gear
|
|
|
Install
|
| 5. |
Attach electro-hydraulic supply unit with bracket to steering
gear and front axle body
Note: Note steering
wiring harness.
| • |
Attach bracket for electro-hydraulic supply unit (1) to front
axle body 22 Nm
|
| • |
Attach bracket for electro-hydraulic supply unit to steering
gear 22 Nm
|
|
| 6. |
On vehicles with EHPS by ZF: Connect wiring harness with
electro-hydraulic supply unit
| • |
Connect and lock 2x wiring harness plug
|
|
| 7. |
Attach wiring harness for steering (5) to bracket
|
|
| 8. |
Attach hydraulic lines to electro-hydraulic supply unit
| • |
TRW: Attach supply line (1) to electro-hydraulic supply unit
with new seal ring 30 Nm
|
| • |
TRW: Attach return line to fluid reservoir with new retaining
strap and KM-J-22610 (2)
|
| • |
ZF: Attach supply and return line to electro-hydraulic supply
unit 16 Nm
|
|
| 9. |
Remove cover from oil tank
|
|
|
| 10. |
Add special fluid to oil tank up to the "MAX" mark (1) on the
oil dipstick
|
| 11. |
Place cover on oil tank and close
|
| 12. |
Install front axle body
|
|
|
| 13. |
Charge and bleed hydraulic system 
|
| 14. |
Program volatile memories
|
| 15. |
When replacing the electro-hydraulic supply unit, carry out
programming with TECH2 after installation
|
