Camshaft Exhaust Sprocket Replacement

EN-46781 Fixing Tool

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1.	Remove the camshaft housing cover gasket. Refer to Camshaft Housing Cover Gasket Replacement .

2.	Remove the fuel injection pump. Refer to Fuel Injection Pump Removal .

3.	Remove the exhaust cylinder head core hole plug (2) from camshaft housing (1).

4.	Remove the intake cylinder head core hole plug (3) from camshaft housing (1).

5.	Clean the threads from cylinder head core hole plugs and camshaft housing.

6.	Mark (arrow) at the EN-46781 fixing tool (1).

Note: EN-46781 fixing tool (1) must be installed in horizontal position.

7.	Install the EN-46781 fixing tool (1) onto the exhaust side and intake side.

8.	Remove the exhaust camshaft sprocket bolt (2).

9.	Remove the exhaust camshaft sprocket (3).

Note: Clean the contact surfaces from camshaft, camshaft sprocket and camshaft sprocket bolt.
Coat camshaft bearing surfaces with engine oil.

2.	Install the exhaust camshaft sprocket (3).

3.	Install the exhaust camshaft sprocket bolt (2) and tighten to 150 N·m (111 lb ft) .

4.	Remove the EN-46781 fixing tool from the exhaust side.

5.	Install the exhaust cylinder head core hole plug (2) to the camshaft housing (1).

6.	Install the fuel injection pump. Refer to Fuel Injection Pump Installation .

7.	Install the camshaft housing cover gasket. Refer to Camshaft Housing Cover Gasket Replacement .
