Throttle Valve Module, Replace (Z 17 DTH, with AC, LHD)

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
Important:   In vehicles as of model year 04 with ESP - every time the battery is disconnected, the steering angle sensor loses its basic setting and must be recalibrated
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach ground cable
3.   Remove throttle valve module (1)
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug (2)
•   Detach charge air hose (3)
– Release clamp
•   Loosen bracket of throttle valve module (4)
– Remove bolt
•   Unscrew 4 bolts
•   Remove gasket.

  Install

4.   Install throttle valve module
•   Replace gasket
•   Tighten 4 bolts 9.8 Nm
•   Fasten bracket of throttle valve module
– Tighten bolt 24 Nm
•   Attach charge air hose.
– Fasten clamp 5 Nm
•   Connect wiring harness plug
5.   Connect battery
•   Connect ground cable.
6.   Close bonnet
7.   Program volatile memory
