Recommended Torque Values - Group C > < Sensor Bracket - Side Airbag, Remove and Install

 

Control Unit, Remove and Install  

Object Number: 616201  Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

Disconnect battery and wait 1 minute until the capacitor has discharged.  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Centre console - see operation "Centre Console, Remove and Install". Release wiring harness plug and disconnect. Control unit.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Control unit  

Object Number: 616199  Size: DEFAULT  Tighten (Torque)   

Front seat to underbody - 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Wiring harness plug, centre console, connect battery.  

Object Number: 2392351  Size: DEFAULT

 

 

Object Number: 616201  Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

If a new control unit has been installed, it must be programmed.  

Airbag Control Unit, Program  

Connect TECH2  

Switch on ignition  

Switch on TECH2  

Select airbag system  

Compare part number  

Read out trouble code  

Note:  

Display of trouble code 52: Control unit (ignition circuit code) not programmed  

Note:  

In the following steps, select the seat belt tensioner and airbag components given in the TECH2 display (including seat occupancy detection) that correspond to the components installed in the vehicle and "confirm". Confirm security question with a list of all the selected components. A correction or subsequent programming is then no longer possible.  

 

 

 

Airbag Control Unit, Program (Continued)  

Select front airbag configuration  

Select seat belt tensioner configuration  

Select side airbag configuration  

Select seat occupancy detection configuration  

Confirm security question  

Note:  

Wait for data transmission for programming  

End programming  

Note:  

With correct functioning of the airbag system, the airbag warning lamp must go off permanently approx. 4 seconds after ignition "ON"  

Switch off ignition.  

Disconnect TECH2
