Thermostat, Replace  

Notice: 

The thermostat is only supplied as an assembly with the thermostat housing for warranty reasons.  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove coolant pipe - see operation "Coolant Pipe, Remove and Install". Remove intake flange - see operation "Intake Flange, Remove and Install".   Detach fastening bolts (1) from cylinder block and remove thermostat housing with thermostat.     Install, Connect    Attach new thermostat housing with new seal ring (2) to cylinder block - tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft. Install intake flange - see operation "Intake Flange, Remove and Install".   Install coolant pipe - see operation "Coolant Pipe, Remove and Install".
