Removing and installing coolant temperature sender at radiator outletG83

Removing and installing coolant temperature sender at radiator outlet -G83-

Removing

l	Engine cold

–	Briefly open filler cap of coolant expansion tank in order to reduce pressure in cooling system.

–	Remove noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.

–	Disconnect electrical connector -2- on radiator outlet coolant temperature sender -G83-.

Note

Place a cloth underneath to catch escaping coolant.

–	Pull off retaining clip -1- and coolant temperature sender at radiator outlet -G83-.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t	Renew O-ring.

t	Insert new coolant temperature sender at radiator outlet -G83- immediately into connection to avoid loss of coolant.

–	Install noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.

–	Check coolant level → Chapter.
