- Apply soapy water to sealer strip from rear edge half-way forward along rail.
- Make sure that guides at rear fit properly in holes and that junction between frame and base plate is properly covered with sealer.
- Align slits on side attachments with wind deflector in frame holes.
- Seal splash guard: use butyl tape.
- Make sure that junction between rail, base plate and splash guard is properly sealed.
Check seal: Use water to check for leakage in both front and rear rail sections before base plate is installed.
- Make sure that control mechanism is in neutral position.
- Check that fine lengthwise adjustment screws are located in center.
- Check that line-up mark is opposite center of pivot pin. If it does not, detach gear housing and adjust cable to correct alignment.
Apply sealer to top of base plate.
Attach rear seal with adhesive, starting at punch mark 40 mm behind retaining clip hole.
