ECC Unit Installation

Operation A13 applies to cars with and without A/C

A13 Check that foam rubber seal and washer are in position before climate unit is lifted in (applies both to heater and evaporator connections).
A14 Check that foam rubber seal is securely seated in air intake.
A15 Install heater and defroster ducts.
A16 Install air distribution housing in temporary position.

A17 Lift in climate unit from right-hand side.

Fit air distribution housing and climate unit together.
Attach air vents to air distribution housing. Install knee bolster bracket.

A18 Tighten unit in position.

A19 Tighten relay board bracket in position.

Remember ground terminal strip at front mounting screw.

A20 Mount relay board in position.

Note:  Operation A24 applies to cars with and without A/C

A24 Secure climate unit to firewall.
