Replacement Procedure (Passenger)
CDD. Replacement Of Passenger Side Airbag Module
Dismantling
CDD1. Preparation
Make a note of any radio code.
Ignition off.
Disconnect the battery negative lead.
WARNING! When assembling turn the ignition key to position II. Then connect the battery negative lead. Make sure that no-body is inside the
car when connecting the battery.
CDD2. Removal of glove compartment
Remove:
6 screws, Torx 20, from the lining of the glove compartment
The flap on the CD-ROM scanner (only for cars with the RTI system).
CDD3. Removal of ignition wire from the SRS airbag
WARNING! Make sure the battery is disconnected before removing or installing the connector. Never use an ohmmeter or any other charged
measuring instrument on a disconnected, unreleased airbag module. There is a risk that the module could be released.
Remove the ignition wire from the passenger side airbag module.
