Engine oil drain plug - replace

1.6 TS

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

1. Undo the plug and drain the engine oil.

Recover the engine oil in a suitable container.

Refitting

Place a new engine oil sump drain plug, complete with new gasket, back in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Refill the engine oil lubrication system - 1084A10 ENGINE OIL - Check level and top up, if necessary.

Remove the car from the ramp.

2.0 TS

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

1. Undo the plug and drain the engine oil.

Recover the engine oil in a suitable container.

Refitting

Place a new engine oil sump drain plug, complete with new gasket, back in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Refill the engine oil lubrication system - 1084A10 ENGINE OIL - Check level and top up, if necessary.

Remove the car from the ramp.

3.2 V6

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

1. Undo the plug and drain the engine oil.

Collect the engine oil in a suitable container. Engine oil contains substances harmful to the environment. Discard these substances in containers designed for their disposal.

Refitting

Place a new engine oil drain plug, complete with new gasket, back in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Refill the engine oil lubrication system - 0010T11 engine oil check level and top up.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.9 JTD 8V

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Position a suitable container for collecting the oil under the oil sump.

1. Undo the drain plug and collect the oil in the container.

Used engine oil contains substances harmful to the environment. Discard these substances in containers designed for their disposal.

Refitting

Fit the drain plug in the threaded seat in the sump and tighten it to torque.

Replace the oil cap copper gasket.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 16V

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

1. Undo the plug and drain the engine oil.

Refitting

Place a new engine oil drain plug, complete with new gasket, back in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Refill the engine oil lubrication system - 0010T11 engine oil check level and top up.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

Remove the car from the ramps.
