Verify:

• that there are no faults in the Body Computer
• the operation of the lights in active diagnosis.

• Check the operation of the individual lights: wiring diagram Wiring diagram E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NUMBER PLATE

Check the condition of the individual bulbs and the bulb holder assembly

Move onto step 3

• Replace the bulbs

• Repair or replace front lights cluster Op. 5540B75

End of diagnosis

• Repair or replace front lights cluster Op. 5540B74

End of diagnosis

• Repair or replace the rear light cluster Op. 5540A44

End of diagnosis

• Renew or replace the no. plate lights Op. 5550A94

End of diagnosis

Verify:

• connections between Body Computer and steering column switch unit;
• connections between ignition switch and Body Computer
• connections between Body Computer and bulbs
• bulb earth: Wiring diagram E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NUMBER PLATE

Move onto step 4

• Restore connections Wiring diagram E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NUMBER PLATE

End of diagnosis

Check that the steering column switch unit is working properly: in particular, the side lights switch: Characteristic of working principle 5550 Warning and manoeuvring indicators

Move onto step 5

• Replace the steering column switch unit Op. 5550A12

End of diagnosis

Check that the side lights come on when the ignition key is turned in the opposite direction

Move onto step 6

• Renew or replace the ignition switch Op. 5520A12

End of diagnosis

• Replace Body Computer Op. 5505A22

End of diagnosis

Check that the fault is no longer present
