  1. Slacken the two screws fastening the bonnet to the hinges on each side.
  2. Remove the boot lid.
  3. Retrieve any shims.

Refit the boot lid reversing the sequence followed for removal. Adjust the bonnet position.

ADJUSTMENT

Check the correct mating between the boot lid and the body and, if necessary, proceed as follows.

  1. Loosen the screws fastening the boot lid to the hinges.
  2. Adjust the longitudinal or transversal position of the boot lid.
  3. If necessary, increase or reduce the shims for adjusting the boot lid in height in the hinges area.

  1. Tighten or loosen the buffers by hand, according to necessity, to adjust the height of the boot lid in the rear area.

If necessary, adjust the lock striker (see specific paragraph).
