  Note!
t  There is no provision for servicing of motor/pump unit.
t  If problems are reported, trace the fault by means of a pressure test and a leakage test.
t  The motor/pump unit can also be checked via self-diagnosis → Running gear, self-diagnosis for ESP, steering; Rep. Gr.01.
t  If a fault is found, the motor/pump unit must be renewed.
t  The following parts can be renewed on the motor/pump unit: screw cap, O-ring for screw cap, mountings, motor/pump unit bracket, securing bolts and nuts.
t  Always check steering system for leaks if fluid level in reservoir is low.
t  If leakage is visible at the connections, re-tighten connections and wipe dry.
t  Do not re-use hydraulic fluid which has been drained off.
t  Renew seals and O-rings.
t  Disposal → Chapter
t  Quantity of fluid in system: approx. 0.8 ltr.

q   Is protected by a safety cut-out in the event of malfunction, failure or crash  → Chapter
q   Only operates when ignition is “ON” and engine is running
q   Checking delivery pressure → Chapter
q   Self-diagnosis → Running gear self-diagnosis for ESP, steering; Rep. Gr.01
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
2 - Hexagon bolt, 23 Nm
3 - Hexagon nut, 7 Nm
q   When tightening, counterhold at mounting → Item
4 - Retainer
q   For wiring from power steering sensor -G250-
5 - Bracket
q   For motor/pump unit
6 - Hexagon nut, 23 Nm
7 - Adapter
q   For motor/pump unit bracket
8 - Spacer bracket
q   For hoses
9 - Mounting
q   Tightening torque: 7 Nm
q   Check for damage (splits in rubber, metal plate detached from rubber) and renew if necessary
10 - O-ring
q   For screw cap
11 - Screw cap
q   With dipstick
12 - O-ring
q   Always renew if expansion hose is disconnected
13 - Expansion hose
q   Motor/pump unit - power steering box
q   Tightening torque of union bolt: 30 Nm
14 - Return line
q   Power steering box - motor/pump unit
15 - Hose clip (spring-type)
q   Use spring-type clip pliers -VAS 5024 A- when installing
