Electric front windows (page 2 of 2)

The electric front windows are not working

1. Check the condition of the fuse 72 protecting the electric windows

• Not OK → Check for a short circuit in the system and replace the fuse 72
• OK

2. Bridge the N coloured cable at the electric windows control unit 71 with an earth

• OK → Restore con. of N coloured cable between electric windows con. unit 71 & earth on dashboard 22
• Not OK

3. Check for voltage at one of the R coloured cables for fuse 72

• Not OK → Restore the continuity of the R coloured cable between the fuse 72 and the ultrasound welding
• OK

4. Check for voltage at the R coloured cable for the electric windows control unit 71

• Not OK → Restore the continuity of the R coloured cable between the electric windows control unit 71 and the fuse 72 or check the condition of the fuse holder
• OK

5. Check for voltage at the C coloured cable for the electric windows control unit 71

• Not OK → Restore the continuity for the C coloured cable between the electric windows control unit 71 and the junction unit 4 connector 1 pin 3, or check the condition of the junction unit 4
• OK
