HEATER - DESCRIPTION

1.2 8v, 1.6 16v, 1.3 JTD 16V, 1.9 JTD 8V, 1.9 DIESEL · from 10/2000, up to 10/2000

Description

The vehicle climate control system involves a duct/distributor unit with a heater, controlled via three knobs in the dashboard:

  • the left knob mechanically controls the mixture flap between hot and cold air;
  • the right knob, mechanically operated via a cable, controls the opening of the flaps which regulate the distribution of air flows;
  • the centre knob electrically controls the ventilation of the air at four different speeds; two versions are available: one with three speeds and one with four speeds;

The operation of the fan at different speeds is achieved through a resistive divider, protected by a special thermal fuse to prevent overheating.

There is also a sliding knob on the control panel, located under the knobs, which mechanically regulates the ''recirculation'' function via a cable.

The control panel is lit up when the side lights are on.

The fan circuit is protected by a specific fuse, in the junction unit in the dashboard, controlled by the passenger compartment air fan relay, located in the duct/distributor unit.

The fan only operates when the ignition is switched ON.

The fan only operates when the ignition is switched ON.

1.4 8v, 1.6 16v, 1.3 JTD 16V, 1.9 JTD 8V · from 12/03 · MY 2005

The vehicle climate is controlled via a duct/distributor unit with heater and controlled by means of three control knobs in the dashboard:

- the middle knob controls the mixture flap mechanically between hot air and cold air;

- the left knob mechanically controls the opening of the flaps that regulate the distribution of the air flows by means of a flexible cable;

- the right knob adjusts the ventilationof the air, via an electrical control, at four different speeds; two versions are available: one three speed and one four speed.

The control for the different fan speeds is achieved by means of a resistive distributor protected against overheating by a special thermal fuse.

There is also a cursor on the control unit located under the knobs that adjusts the recirculation function mechanically by means of a flexible cable.

The control unit is lit with the side lights on.

See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS

The fan circuit is protected by a specific fuse and controlled by the passenter compartment air fan relay in the engine compartment junction unit.

The fan can only be switched on with the ignition ON.
