2.0 16V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on one of the front brake calipers.

- Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

- Operate the brake pedal until the brake/clutch reservoir is drained.

1. Working from inside the vehicle, act on the locking spring (1a) and disconnect the rigid pipe (1b) from the master cylinder (pump).

Op. 1048A39 SLEEVE FROM AIR CLEANER TO RIGID PIPE - R R

1. Lift up the spring (1a) and disconnect the pipe (1b) from the clutch release cylinder.

- Remove the pipe from the engine compartment.

Refitting

- Fit the pipe in the housing in the engine compartment.

- Connect the pipe to the clutch release cylinder.

- Connect the rigid pipe to the master cylinder (pump) and secure it using the spring.

Op. 0010T67 HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM BLEED AIR

2.0 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on one of the front brake calipers.

- Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

- Operate the brake pedal until the brake/clutch reservoir is drained.

1. Working from inside the vehicle, act on the locking spring (1a) and disconnect the rigid pipe (1b) from the master cylinder (pump).

1. Release the retaining springs (1a) and remove the cover (1b).

2. Remove the filter element.

3. Disconnect the electrical connection (3a) for the air flow meter (3b).

4. Undo the fixing nuts (4a) and remove the air filter casing (4b).

1. Lift up the spring (1a) and disconnect the pipe (1b) from the vibration damper (1c).

- Remove the pipe from the engine compartment.

Refitting

- Fit the pipe in the housing in the engine compartment.

- Connect the pipe to the clutch release cylinder.

- Fit the air filter casing and tighten the nuts fixing it to the mounting bracket.

- Connect the electrical connection for the air flow meter.

- Fit the filter element.

- Fit the cover and secure it using the springs.

- Connect the rigid pipe to the master cylinder (pump) and secure it using the spring.

Op. 0010T67 HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM BLEED AIR

2.3 JTD 16V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on one of the front brake calipers.

- Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

- Operate the brake pedal until the brake/clutch reservoir is drained.

1. Working from inside the vehicle, act on the locking spring (1a) and disconnect the rigid pipe (1b) from the master cylinder (pump).

1. Undo the bolts fixing the air filter casing mounting bracket.

2. Undo the bolt fixing the air filter casing to the bracket joined to the windscreen washer fluid reservoir.

3. Remove the air filter casing from the engine compartment.

1. Lift up the spring (1a) and disconnect the pipe (1b) from the clutch release cylinder.

- Raise the vehicle.

- Remove the pipe from the engine compartment.

Refitting

- Fit the pipe in the housing in the engine compartment.

- Connect the pipe to the clutch release cylinder.

- Fit the air filter casing and tighten the nuts fixing it to the mounting and to the screen washer fluid reservoir.

2.8 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on one of the front brake calipers.

- Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

- Operate the brake pedal until the brake/clutch reservoir is drained.

1. Working from inside the vehicle, act on the locking spring (1a) and disconnect the rigid pipe (1b) from the master cylinder (pump).

Op. 1048A41 SLEEVE FROM DEBIMETER TO TURBOCHARGER - R R

1. Release the retaining springs (1a) and remove the cover (1b).

2. Remove the filter element.

3. Disconnect the electrical connection (3a) for the air flow meter (3b).

4. Undo the fixing nuts (4a) and remove the air filter casing (4b).

1. Lift up the spring (1a) and disconnect the pipe (1b) from the clutch release cylinder.

- Remove the pipe from the engine compartment.

Refitting

- Fit the pipe in the housing in the engine compartment.

- Connect the pipe to the clutch release cylinder.

- Fit the air filter casing and tighten the nuts fixing it to the mounting bracket.

- Connect the electrical connection for the air flow meter.

- Fit the filter element.

- Fit the cover and secure it using the springs.
