2.0 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

1. Undo the bolt fixing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember.

2. Undo the bolt fixing the lower reaction rod to the mounting bracket on the gearbox.

- Move the power unit slightly forward to make enough room to get the reaction link out.

3. Remove the lower reaction link.

Refitting

- Fit the lower reaction rod in the housing and tighten the bolt fixing the suspension crossmember to torque.

- Tighten the nut fixing the reaction rod to the gearbox to torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.0 16V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on the lift.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the lower reaction rod to the suspension crossmember.

2. Undo the bolt fixing the lower reaction rod to the mounting bracket on the gearbox.

- Move the power unit slightly forward to make enough room to get the reaction link out.

3. Remove the lower reaction link.

Refitting

- Fit the lower reaction rod in the housing and tighten the bolt fixing the suspension crossmember to torque.

- Tighten the nut fixing the reaction rod to the gearbox to torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.3 JTD 16V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

1. Unscrew the bolt securing the lower reaction link to the suspension beam.

2. Unscrew the bolt securing the lower reaction link to the anchorage bracket on the gearbox.

- Move the power unit slightly forward to make enough room to get the reaction link out.

3. Remove the lower reaction link.

Refitting

- Fit the lower reaction link in its seat and tighten the bolt securing it to the suspension beam to torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
