GEARBOX SIDE MOUNT FLEXIBLE BLOCK - REPLACE

2.0 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Disconnect intake hose from the air filter casing and from the cold air intake on the crossmember.

2. Remove the cold intake and intake hose from the engine compartment.

- Raise the vehicle.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

- Lower the vehicle and position a hydraulic arm support beneath the gearbox to support the engine.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the gearbox side flexible mounting to the rigid support.

2. Undo the nuts securing the flexible block to the body.

3. Remove the gearbox side power unit flexible mount.

Refitting

- Fit the gearbox side rigid engine support.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the gearbox side flexible mounting to the rigid support.

- Tighten the nuts securing the flexible block to the recommended torque.

- Remove the hydraulic arm positioned previously to support the gearbox.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

- Fit the cold air intake hose and connect it to the air filter casing and to the air intake on the crossmember.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Removing

Op. 1048A12 AIR CLEANER SUPPORT - R R WITH AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REMOVED

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

- Position a hydraulic lift under the gearbox bellhousing to support the power unit during the operation.

1. Undo the fixing nuts (1a) and remove the flexible mounting (1b).

Refitting

- Place the flexible mounting in position.

- Tighten the nuts to torque.

- Remove the hydraulic lift.

Removing

- Position the vehicle on the lift.

1. Open the bands securing the hose to the filter and to the air intake.

2. Release and remove the cold air intake hose from the engine compartment.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

- Lower the vehicle and position a hydraulic arm support beneath the gearbox to support the engine.

1. Loosen the bolts (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the air filter mounting bracket (1c).

1. Undo the nuts fixing the gearbox side flexible mounting to the rigid support.

2. Undo the nuts securing the flexible block to the body.

3. Remove the gearbox side power unit flexible mount.

Refitting

- Fit the gearbox side rigid engine support.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the gearbox side flexible mounting to the rigid support.

- Tighten the nuts securing the flexible block to the recommended torque.

- Remove the hydraulic arm positioned previously to support the gearbox.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

- Fit the filter mounting bracket and tighten the fixing bolts.

- Fit the cold air intake hose and connect it to the air filter casing and to the air intake on the crossmember and restore the securing bands.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.3 JTD 16V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the bolts securing the cold air intake to the upper beam.

2. Disconnect the intake sleeve from the air cleaner case.

3. Remove the intake sleeve assembly and cold air intake from the engine bay.

1. Undo the bolts securing the air cleaner case bracket.

2. Undo the bolt securing the air cleaner case to the bracket joining it to the washer fluid reservoir.

3. Disconnect the air delivery sleeve to the turbocharger.

4. Remove the air cleaner case from the engine bay.

- Raise the vehicle.

- Lower the vehicle and position a hydraulic arm support beneath the gearbox to support the engine.

1. Undo the bolts securing the gearbox side flexible mount to the rigid mount.

2. Undo the nuts securing the flexible block to the body.

3. Remove the gearbox side power unit flexible mount.

Refitting

- Fit the gearbox side rigid engine mount.

- Tighten the bolts securing the gearbox side flexible mount to the rigid mount to torque.

- Tighten the nuts securing the flexible block to the recommended torque.

- Remove the hydraulic arm positioned previously to support the gearbox.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

- Fit the air cleaner case.

- Tighten the bolt securing the air cleaner case to the bracket joining it to the washer fluid reservoir.

- Tighten the bolts securing the air cleaner case bracket.

- Connect the air delivery sleeve to the turbocharger and secure to the air cleaner case.

- Fit the intake sleeve assembly and cold air intake to the engine bay.

- Connect the intake sleeve to the air cleaner case.

- Do up the bolts securing the cold air intake to the upper beam.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
